Treating the Antibiotic Cough and Cold Myth

They can't, because both coughs are colds are bodies fighting, and trying to destroy the viruses causing infection in the respiratory tract.

Self Medication

This is the reason why people use the leftover antibiotics from a previously recommended course of medicine, and take them without any medical consultation. This may, in fact, worsen the problem by delaying the proper treatment of illnesses that require a different course of medication.

Misusing Antibiotics

A faulty understanding of how the human body works, as well the real cause of coughing and other respiratory problems, and problems for which a bacteria (and not a virus) might be to blame.

Misusing them might also create a new strain of untreatable infections by enabling drug resistance. According to the The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, antimicrobial resistance "is one of the most serious public health..in the EU", killing 25,000 Europeans every year.

Heavy usage of antibiotics could also lead to antibiotic-related diarrhea, a dangerous condition when the human body is rapidly losing fluids.

Signs and Treatment Facts

  • Antibiotics will not increase the recovery rate of most coughs and colds.
  • Do not take them unless your physician prescribes them.
  • Do not panic when you see yellow phlegm - you still do not need antibiotics. In fact, a runny -nose-sore-throat combination (with phlegm) means that antibiotics might not be an effective.

You might, however need an antibiotic when you're running a high temperature, red throat and feeling ill

Other Precautions

Do not keep leftover doses - even if you've gotten well, finish the entire prescribed course of medication. If you do have medications from your last bout of illness, ask your doctor what to do with it, or take it only when it is prescribed.

How to tell if a Guy is a Jerk

You don't need a guy who...

1. Makes you feel like a piece of garbage
2. Lies, deceives and manipulates you
3. Can't be faithful
4. Doesn't think you are amazing
5. Can't stop thinking about former or future relationships
6. Is rude, disrespectful, and mean
7. Requires you dismiss or ignore your personal standards, ethics, and sense of morality
8. Embarrasses and humiliates you
9. Uses you
10. Abuses you!

You know a guy is not good for you if...

1. You are constantly making excuses for his bad behavior.

2. There are times you feel fear and/or anxiety when you are around him. You are worried how he will react to you or to something you have done.

3. You find yourself giving in to demands that are against your personal sense of decency or morality.

4. His words of love do not match his actions.

5. You keep justifying and denying those nagging feelings that something is not right.

6. He tells you what you want and need.

7. He tries to inhibit or damage your relationships with your friends and family.

8. You find yourself wanting to inappropriate please him to gain his approval or love.

9. You feel you have to live a secret life (that doesn't involve anything inappropriate) so he won't get angry.

10. He has emotionally or physically abused you.

To be clear, I am a firm believer that people can and do change with significant help and appropriate intervention; and with lots of work.

However, when a relationship is harming your spirit, damaging your self-esteem, wasting your time and energy it is time to move on.

I've said this before but you do not need a relationship that is destroying your spirit or harming your life.

There is no man on the planet worth this.

And, you don't have to have a man to have self-worth.

In fact, being with a not-so-great man is not helping your self esteem it is DESTROYING it.

Better to be without a man than be with a hurtful man who is not right for you.

Now, please read the following very carefully.

I am NOT blaming women for the bad behavior of men. I realize that many men initially appear great and can put on a fabulous and convincing show. I understand there are GREAT women who find not so wonderful men. If you have picked less than great guys it does not mean you are not a good woman.

Position of Jesus (pbuh) in Islam:

If Christian is a person who follows the teachings of Christ ( pbuh) and not one who worships Christ ( pbuh) then we are more Christian than the christians.

(i)Islam is the only non-Christian faith, which makes it an article of faith to believe in Jesus (pbuh). No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus (pbuh).

(ii) We believe that he was one of the mightiest Messengers of Allah (swt).

(iii) We believe that he was born miraculously, without any male intervention, which many modern day Christians do not believe.

(iv) We believe he was the Messiah translated Christ (pbuh).

(v) We believe that he gave life to the dead with God's permission.

(iv) We believe that he healed those born blind, and the lepers with God's permission.

Gall Bladder stones- Removal naturally

"We can not authenticate this natural remedy. Any one who want to use it is requested to use it carefully according to his health conditions or by taking  permission from the doctor or physician"

TODAY'S SPECIAL 4 U !
Dear All,
This is a useful piece of information that you may have received before. This is true and it works. You can 'google'
Dr Lai Chiu-Nan to find out more about her and the feedbacks of this treatment.
Pictures first, explanation and procedure follows:

1. Liver
2. Common Bile Duct
3. Gallstones
4. Gallbladder

REMOVING GALLSTONES NATURALLY
by Dr Lai Chiu-Nan

It has worked for many. If it works for you please pass on the good news. Chiu Nan is not charging for it, so we should make it free for everyone. Your reward is when someone, through your word of mouth, benefits from the regime. Gallstones may not be everyone's concern. But they should be because we all have them. Moreover, gallstones may lead to cancer. 'Cancer is never the first illness,' Chiu Nan points out. 'Usually, there are a lot of other problems leading to cancer.

In my research in China, I came across some materials which say that people with cancer usually have stones. We all have gallstones. It's a matter of big or small, many or few.

One of the symptoms of gallstones is a feeling of bloatedness after a heavy meal. You feel like you can't digest the food. If it gets more serious, you feel pain in the liver area.' So if you think you have gallstones, Chiu Nan offers the following method to remove them naturally.

The treatment is also good for those with a weak liver, because the liver and gallbladder are closely linked.

Regimen:
1. For the first five days, take four glasses of apple juice every day . Or eat four or five apples, whichever you prefer. Apple juice softens the gallstones. During the five days, eat normally.
2. On the sixth day, take no dinner.
3. At 6 PM, take a teaspoon of Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water.
4. At 8 PM, repeat the same. Magnesium sulphate opens the gallbladder ducts.
5. At 10 PM, take half cup olive oil (or sesame oil) with half cup fresh lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage.
PS. 1cup=250ml, 1/2 cup lemon juice=3 lemons (aprox.)
The next morning, you will find green stones in your stools. 'Usually they float,' Chiu Nan notes. 'You might want to count them. I have had people who passes 40, 50 or up to 100 stones. Very many.'

'Even if you don't have any symptoms of gallstones, you still might have some. It's always good to give your gall bladder a clean-up now and then.

Can we wish For Death ??

Prophet(sal Allaahu alaihi wasallam) said

"No one of you should wish for DEATH
because of some harm that has
befallen him. If he must wish for it,
then let him say: 'O Allah, keep me
alive so long as living is good for me,
and cause me to die when death is
good for me.'"

[Narrated by al-
Bukhari, 6531; Muslim,2680 ]

"GIVE YOUR CHILD A GOOD (MEANINGFUL) MUSLIM NAME" ✦

It's always a joy when Allâh blesses you with a child. Children bring great happiness, but also trials and responsibilities. One of the very first duties you have toward your new child, besides physical care and love, is to give your child a meaningful Muslim name.

It's narrated from AbudDarda' (may Allâh be pleased with him) that The Prophet (peace and blessing of Allâh be upon him) said:

"On the Day of Resurrection you will be called by your names and by your father's names, so give yourselves good names." [Abu Dawud: Book 41, Hadith 4930]

When choosing a name for a boy, Muslims have several choices. It is recommended to name a boy in a way that indicates service to God, by using 'Abd in front of one of God's Names. Other possibilities include the names of Prophets, names of the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad, or other male names which have a good meaning. There are also some categories of names which are prohibited to use for Muslim children.

Plz dont wish 'Merry Christmas'

IMPORTENT MESSAGE : PLEASE SHARE

When you are wishing someone 'Merry Christmas', without you realize, you are agreeing that God has a son and he (the Son of God) was born on 25th December. Astagfirullah Al Azim..

Saying God has a children is a Shirk (the greatest sin in Islam), as Allah says in the Qur'an: "Allah begets not, nor was He begotten" [Quran, 112: 3]

So, all my muslim brothers and sisters, plz dont wish 'Merry Christmas'

( Perfection is a myth) Beaib Insaan talash karoge to akele rah jaoge - Hazrat Ali R.A.

A man asked his friend why he never got married. He replied "Well, I guess I just never met the right woman... I guess I've been looking for the perfect girl."

"Oh, come on now. Surely you've met at least one girl that you wanted to marry."

"Yes, there was one girl... once. I guess she was the one perfect girl -- the only perfect girl I really ever met. She was just the right everything... I really mean that she was the perfect girl for me."

"Well, why didn't you marry her?" The guy shrugged and replied, "She was looking for the perfect man.

What to do if you are trapped in an elevator?

1) Patience
You need to stay calm. dont start shouting , don't cry. don't shout for help. just stay calm and try to relax other passengers.

------------------------------------------------------------

2) Try for other floors.
If elevator has stopped going towards your desired floor. try to press other floors button , it may start working. and take you towards any other floor and you can come out of it.

------------------------------------------------------------

3) Use emergency phone.
There are emergency buttons or phones in elevators. try using that.

------------------------------------------------------------

4) Call your friends in the building
if the emergency phone or button is not responding , you may call your friends present in the building , so that they can help you by contacting the elevator staff.

------------------------------------------------------------

5) Call for rescue.
if you dont know any one in the building , and the emergency phone is also not working then you have to contact the emergency rescue services. such as fire brigade or police , so that they can take action and save you.

------------------------------------------------------------

6) Trust in God.
if nothing is working , dont worry some one is going to notice about the elevator , and some one might be fixing it. you dont need to worry , dont cry or shout. it will not work out at all.

------------------------------------------------------------

7) Avoid trying to get out of the elevator on your own
especially through the roof door
this adventure will just waste your energy. no angel is waiting on the roof top of the elevator to pick you up.

------------------------------------------------------------

8) Most of the times the fault is temporary
most of the times its electric power problems. and they are solved out shortly. so be relax.

------------------------------------------------------------

9) Its going to be OK.
even if the problem seems complex and time taking , dont worry you are going to get saved. there will be no avail of shouting and crying crazily. try to sing songs , perform yoga and the secret martial arts technique which you never performed before :)

Jab jab dard ka baadal chaya

Jab jab dard ka baadal chaya
Jab ghum ka saya lehraya
Jab aansoo palkon tak aya
Jab yeh tanha dil ghabraya

Humne dil ko yeh samjhaya
Dil aakhir tu kyun rota hai
Duniya mein yunhi hota hai

Yeh jo gehre sannate hain
Waqt ne sabko hi baante hain
Thoda ghum hai sabka qissa
Thodi dhoop hai sabka hissa
Aankh teri bekaar hi nam hai
Har pal ek naya mausam hai
Kyun tu aise pal khota hai
Dil aakhir tu kyun rota hai

Parween Shakir Poetry

Nanhi larki,
Sahil ke itne nazdeek,
Rait se apna ghar na bana,
Koi sarkash mauj idhar ayi, to
Tere ghar ki bunyadein tak beh jayen gi,
Aur phir un ki yaad mein tu,
Saari umar udaas rahe gi..

Suna hai janglon ka bhi koi dastoor hota hai

Suna hai sher ka jab pait bhar jaaye

To wo hamla nahin kerta,

Suna hai jab kisi nadi k paani main
Bue k ghonsle ka gandami saaya larazta hai

To nadi ki ro pehli machhilyaan us ko

Parosi maan leti hain,

Hava k taiz jhonke jab darakhton ko hilaate hain

To Meena apne ghar ko bhool ker

Ka'uve k andon ko paron main thaam leti hai

Suna hai Ghonsle se jab koi bacha gire to

Saara jangle jaag jaata hai.

Naddi main baar aa jaaye

Koi Pull toot jaaye

To kisi lakri k takhte per

Gulahri, Saanp, Cheeta aur Bakri

Saath hote hain.

Suna hai janglon ka bhi koi dastoor hota hai,

MUHARRAMUL HARAM – EK MUQADDAS MAHINA AAJ SHIRK AUR BIDDAT KA GEHWARA

Muharramul Haram ek aisa muqaddas mahina jisme Zaman-e-Jahiliyat mein bhi tamam tarah ki buraiya band kar di jati thi yahan tak ki ladaiya bhi multawi kar di jati thi lekin aaj Dushmanan-e-Islam ne apni takhreeb kari aur ghaleez harkato ko Ummat-e-Muslima ke andar ghol diya aur ise ek Shirk aur Biddat ka mahina bana diya. Jidhar nikal jao nohe aur marsiye padhe ja rahe hain,

har dusre ghar mein sog manaya ja rha hai, har taraf haye hussain, haye hussain ki aaho baqa hai, koi ghar mein Bibi Fatima ki kahani padhwa raha hai, koi bibi zenab ki kahani padhwa raha hai, ek taraf makkari aur dhong ke ansu hain aur dusri taraf mithayi ki dukane saji hui hain, ek taraf seeno aur peetho ko mara ja raha hai aur kata ja raha hai to dusri taraf fakeer, paiky, alam aur taziye banaye ja rahe hain, har taraf ajeeb haal hai, har shakal par 12 baje huye hain.

Wo jo karte hain unhe karne do musalmano, ye to un khabeeso aur ghaleezo par AZAAB hai ALLAH ka jo Qayamat tak jari rahega, ye aise he apna seena peet te rahenge kyun ki isi seene mein Amma Ayesha R.A. ka bughz bhara hai, Hazrat Abu Bakr R.A. bughz bhara hai, Hazrat Umar Farooq R.A. ka bughz bhara hai, Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani R.A. ka bughz bhara hai, aur tamam SAHABA R.A.A. ka bughz bhara hua hai aur saro ko isliye kat te hain ki isi dimagh mein Hazrat Hussain ko shaheed karne aur Ahle Bait ko badnam karne sazishe bhari hui hain.

FAKEER : Ye fakeer banne ka system he nahi samjh aya aajtak, ye fakeer kyun banaye jate hain bache, agar ek fakeer ka bacha aa jaye to badi hikarat se dekhte hain lekin in das dino mein to bade bade ameer aur haisyat, shohrat aur paise wale apne abcho ko fakeer banate hain. Ye fakeeri ka to pasha HARAM hai islam mein phir ye kaise aya is muqaddas mahine mein?

Barelvi fikre maktab ke kuch log isme kuch zyada he mulawwis hain lekin shayd unhe ye nahi pata hai ki unke he firke ki ibtida karne wale Imam Ahmad Raza Sb. Ne apni kitab Fataw-e-Rizwiya mein fatwa diya hai "Taziya dekhne wala, banane wala aur use bechne wala kufr ka murtakib hai" isliye meri bareilvi hazrat se ghuzarish hai ki in ghaleez aur badtareen biddat se bahar nikle aur Hazrat Hussain R.A. ki shahadat ka asal maqsad samjhe.

Kuch musalman Muharramul Haram ki 10 tareekh ko bht sog wala din, kala din ya manhoos din mante hain ihaza unhe ye batana chahta hun ki is din Hazrat Adam A.S. ki tauba qubool hui, Isi din ye paida kiye gaye, isi din inhe jannat mein dakhil kiya gaya, isi Arsh, Kursi, Aasman, Zameen, Shams, Qamar, Sitare aur jannat banayi gayi, isi din Hazrat Ibrahim A.S. paida hue aur isi din inhe aag se nijat mili, isi din Hazrat Moosa A.S. ki ummat ko firaon se nijat mili aur firaon apni qaum ke sath ghark hua, isi din Hazrat Isa A.S. paida kiye gaye aur isi din inhe asman ki taraf uthaya gaya, isi din Hazrat Nooh A.S. ki kashti joodi pahad par thehri, isi din Hazrat Suleman A.S. ko mulk azeem ata kiya gaya, isi din Hazrat Ynus A.S. ko machli ke pet se nikala gaya, isi din Hazrat Yaqoob A.S. ki beenayi di gayi, isi din Hazrat Yusuf A.S. ko kuwey se nikala gaya, Hazrat Aiyyub A.S. ki takleefo ko rafa kiya gaya, isi din Aasman se zameen par sabse pahli barish hui, isi din ka roza pichli ummato apr farz tha. Itna sab kuch hone ke bad bhi agar koi ise manhoos ya sog wala ya kharab din kahe to woe k momin nahi ho sakta zarur aur isme koi shak na hoga ki wo shakhs Dushman-e-Islam hoga.

Niche kuch Hadees-e-Paak SAWW bhi de raha hun mulahiza farmaye…

Nabi SAWW ki hadees hai jiska mafhoom hai ki "Jo apne gireban ko chak kare, munh peete, aur zaman-e-jahiliyat wali batein kare wo hum me se nahi"… (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Nabi SAWW ki hadees 10 Muharram ke ziman mein hai jiska mafhoom hai ki "Jo shakhs is din apne Ahlo ayal par farakhi se kharch kare, ALLAH iske sal bhar ki rozi mein barkat ata farmayenge"…

Nabi SAWW ki hadees ka mafhoom hai jisme Pyare Aqa SAWW ne marsiyah karne par mana farmaya hai…

ALLAH hum tamam momineen ko is pak mahine ka taqaddus barqarar rakhne ki taufeeq ata farmaye, isme hone wale tamam Shirk aur Biddat se hamari hifazat farmaye… AMEEN.

JAZAKALLAHU KHAIRAN KASEERAN KASEERAH…

Helpful Tips on Eye Care ( For Those who work for long hours in front of computer screen )

With so many of us spending lots of time in front of the computer every day it comes to no surprise that research is showing a rise in visual problems. What can one do? First, it's important to find out how you can protect your eyes through eye health exams and by making a few minor changes in your computer viewing habits.

Here are some helpful Eye Care Tips -

Positioning is everything

Correct positioning of your computer, keyboard and typing copy is essential. Your screen should be positioned about an arm's length from your eyes and 20 degrees below eye level. Consider foot and wrist rests for added comfort.

Lighting can make all the difference

Room lighting should be diffuse, not direct, to reduce glare and reflections from your screen. Look into an internal or external glare screen and be sure to set your colour, contrast and brightness levels to suit you.

A little extra help for your glasses

Anti-reflective coatings on the lenses of your glasses can be applied by your optometrist to reduce discomfort and to ease reduced vision from bright and/or flickering light sources such as VDTs and fluorescent lights. And don't forget, your doctor of optometry can talk to you about eyeglasses designed specifically for people who use computers a lot.

Take time out, our 20-20-20 rule

Step I :-
After every 20 minutes of looking into the computer screen, turn your
head and try to look at any object placed at least 20 feet away. This
changes the focal length of your eyes, a must-do for the tired eyes.

Step II :-
Try and blink your eyes for 20 times in succession, to moisten them.

Step III :-
Time permitting of course, one should walk 20 paces after every 20 minutes
of sitting in one particular posture. Helps blood circulation for the entire body.

It's all in the blinking

Did you know that on average we blink 12 times per minute? But wait, did you know that when we're on the computer we only blink 5 times per minute? That can add up to dry eyes. Relieve the discomfort by using artificial tear drops or gels and remember to blink!

Palming

Sit straight at your workstation and rub your palms against each other till you feel them warm. The warmth of your palms helps soothe and relax tired eyes. Then, lightly cup your eyes with your palms and relax for 60 seconds. Count the seconds in your mind. Repeat this exercise two to three times whenever your eyes feel tired, or as often as you want. While palming, you can either rest your elbows on your desk or keep away from the desk and cup your eyes. Both ways are fine.

Splash water on your face

During breaks, splash water on your face while closing your eyes. This has an overall relaxing effect and helps you feel refreshed.

Use tea bags

Keep two used tea bags in the refrigerator before you leave for work. Once you are home, place the tea bags on your eyes for a few minutes as you relax. This not only soothes tired eyes, but also reduces puffiness.

Eat healthy

Incorporate Vitamins A, C, and E on a daily basis; eat citrus fruits, green leafy veggies, tomatoes, spinach, poultry and dairy products. Pack a box of chopped carrots, cucumber and fresh fruits and munch in-between meals at the office.

Place of Sufism in Islam

What is the place of sufism in Islam? What truth is there in 'religious experiences', contacts with the Divine, etc.? Some people hold such phenomena in high regard, claiming the similarities between experiences of people from different religions and from opposite corners of the globe, to be proof. How should people who claim to be sufis or believers/followers of sufism be seen? Isn't prayer and remembrance also a form of contact with the Almighty, SWT?

Praise be to Allaah.

The word "Sufism" was not known at the time of the Messenger or the Sahaabah or the Taabi'een. It arose at the time when a group of ascetics who wore wool ("soof") emerged, and this name was given to them. It was also said that the name was taken from the word "soofiya" ("sophia") which means "wisdom" in Greek. The word is not derived from al-safa' ("purity") as some of them claim, because the adjective derived from safa' is safaa'i, not soofi (sufi). The emergence of this new name and the group to whom it is applied exacerbated the divisions among Muslims. The early Sufis differed from the later Sufis who spread bid'ah (innovation) to a greater extent and made shirk in both minor and major forms commonplace among the people, as well as the innovations against which the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) warned us when he said, "Beware of newly-invented things, for every newly-invented thing is an innovation and every innovation is a going-astray." (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, who said it is saheeh hasan).

The following is a comparison between the beliefs and rituals of Sufism and Islam which is based on the Qur'aan and Sunnah.

Sufism has numerous branches or tareeqahs, such as the Teejaniyyah, Qaadiriyyah, Naqshbandiyyah, Shaadhiliyyah, Rifaa'iyyah, etc., the followers of which all claim that their particular tareeqah is on the path of truth whilst the others are following falsehood. Islam forbids such sectarianism. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"… and be not of al-mushrikoon (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allaah, polytheists, idolaters, etc),

Of those who split up their religion (i.e., who left the true Islamic monotheism), and became sects, [i.e., they invented new things in the religion (bid'ah) and followed their vain desires], each sect rejoicing in that which is with it." [al-Room 30:31-32]

The Sufis worship others than Allaah, such as Prophets and "awliya'" ["saints"], living or dead. They say, "Yaa Jeelaani", "Yaa Rifaa'i" [calling on their awliya'], or "O Messenger of Allaah, help and save" or "O Messenger of Allaah, our dependence is on you", etc.

But Allaah forbids us to call on anyone except Him in matters that are beyond the person's capabilities. If a person does this, Allaah will count him as a mushrik, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

"And invoke not, besides Allaah, any that will neither profit you, nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers)." [Yoonus 10:106]

The Sufis believe that there are abdaal, aqtaab and awliya' (kinds of "saints") to whom Allaah has given the power to run the affairs of the universe. Allaah tells us about the mushrikeen (interpretation of the meaning):

"Say [O Muhammad]: '…And who disposes the affairs?' They will say. 'Allaah.'…" [Yoonus 10:31]

The mushrik Arabs knew more about Allaah than these Sufis!

The Sufis turn to other than Allaah when calamity strikes, but Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"And if Allaah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He touches you with good, then He is Able to do all things." [al-An'aam 6:17]

Some Sufis believe in wahdat al-wujood (unity of existence). They do not have the idea of a Creator and His creation, instead they say that everything is creation and everything is god.

The Sufis advocate extreme asceticism in this life and do not believe in taking the necessary means or in jihaad, but Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"But seek with that (wealth) which Allaah has bestowed on you, the home of the Hereafter, and forget not your portion of legal enjoyment in this world…" [al-Qasas 28:77]

"And make ready against them all that you can of power…"   [al-Anfaal 8:60]

The Sufis refer the idea of ihsaan to their shaykhs and tell their followers to have a picture of their shaykh in mind when they remember Allaah and even when they are praying. Some of them even put a picture of their shaykh in front of them when they are praying. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Ihsaan is when you worship Allaah as if you can see Him, and although you cannot see Him, He can see you." (Reported by Muslim).

The Sufis allow dancing, drums and musical instruments, and raising the voice when making dhikr, but Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"The believers are only those who, when Allaah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts…" [al-Anfaal 8:2]

Moreover, you see some of them making dhikr by only pronouncing the Name of Allaah, saying, "Allaah, Allaah, Allaah." This is bid'ah and has no meaning in Islam. They even go to the extreme of saying, "Ah, ah" or "Hu, Hu." The Sunnah is for the Muslim to remember his Lord in words that have a true meaning for which he will be rewarded, such as saying Subhaan Allaah wa Alhamdulillah wa Laa ilaaha illa Allaah wa Allaahu akbar, and so on.

The Sufis recite love poems mentioning the names of women and boys in their dhikr gatherings, and they repeat words such as "love", "passion", "desire" and so on, as if they are in a gathering where people dance and drink wine and clap and shout. All of this has to do with the customs and acts of worship of the mushrikeen. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"Their salaah (prayer) at the House (of Allaah, i.e., the Ka'bah at Makkah) was nothing but whistling and clapping of hands…"

[al-Anfaal 8:35]

Some Sufis pierce themselves with rods of iron, saying, "O my grandfather!" So the shayaateen come to them and help them, because they are seeking the help of someone other than Allaah . Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allaah), We appoint for him a shaytaan (devil) to be a qareen (intimate companion) for him."

[al-Zukhruf 43:36]

The Sufis claim to have gnosis and knowledge of the unseen, but the Qur'aan shows them to be liars. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"Say: 'None in the heavens and the earth knows the ghayb (unseen) except Allaah…'" [al-Naml 27:65]

The Sufis claim that Allaah created the world for the sake of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), but the Qur'aan shows them to be liars. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"And I (Allaah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone)." [al-Dhaariyaat 51:56]

Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, addressed His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) with the words (interpretation of the meaning):

"And worship your Lord until there comes unto the certainty (i.e., death)." [al-Hijr 15:99]

The Sufis claim that they can see Allaah in this life, but the Qur'aan shows them to be liars. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"[Moosa said:] 'O my Lord! Show me (Yourself), that I may look upon You.' Allaah said, 'You cannot see Me…'" [al-A'raaf 7:143]

The Sufis claim that they take knowledge directly from Allaah, without the mediation of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and in a conscious state (as opposed to dreams). So are they better than the Sahaabah??

The Sufis claim that they take knowledge directly from Allaah, without the mediation of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). They say, "Haddathani qalbi 'an Rabbi (My heart told me from my Lord)."

The Sufis celebrate Mawlid and hold gatherings for sending blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), but they go against his teachings by raising their voices in dhikr and anaasheed (religious songs) and qaseedahs (poems) that contain blatant shirk. Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) celebrate his birthday? Did Abu Bakr, 'Umar, 'Uthman, 'Ali, the four imaams or anyone else celebrate his birthday? Who knows more and is more correct in worship, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the Salaf, or the Sufis?

The Sufis travel to visit graves and seek blessings from their occupants or to make tawaaf (ritual circumambulation) around them or to make sacrifices at these sites, all of which goes against the teachings of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): "Do not travel to visit any place but three mosques: al-Masjid al-Haraam [in Makkah], this mosque of mine [in Madeenah] and al-Masjid al-Aqsa [in Jerusalem]." (Agreed upon).

The Sufis are blindly loyal to their shaykhs, even when what they go against the words of Allaah and His Messenger. But Allaah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):

"O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allaah and His Messenger…" [al-Hujuraat 49:1]

The Sufis use talismans, letters and numbers for making decisions and for making amulets and charms and so on.

The Sufis do not restrict themselves to the specific blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that were narrated from him. They invented new formulas that involve seeking his blessings and other kinds of blatant shirk which are unacceptable to the one on whom they are sending blessings.

With regard to the question of the whether the Sufi shaykhs have some kind of contact, this is true, but their contact is with the shayaateen, not with Allaah, so they inspire one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception), as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies – shayaateen (devils) among mankind and jinns, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception). If your Lord had so willed, they would not have done it…" [al-An'aam 6:112]

And Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"… And, certainly, the shayaateen (devils) do inspire their friends (from mankind)…" [al-An'aam 6:121]

"Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the shayaateen (devils) descend?

They descend on every lying, sinful person." [al-Shu'ara 221-222]

This is the contact that is real, not the contact that they falsely claim to have with Allaah. Exalted be Allaah far above that. (See Mu'jam al-Bida', 346 –359).

When some of these Sufi shaykhs disappear suddenly from the sight of their followers, this is the result of their contact with the shayaateen, who may even carry them to a distant place and bring them back in the same day or night, to mislead their human followers.

So the important rule here is not to judge people by the extraordinary feats that they may do. We should judge them by how closely or otherwise they adhere to the Qur'aan and Sunnah. The true friends of Allaah (awliya') are not necessarily known for performing astounding feats. On the contrary, they are the ones who worship Allaah in the manner that He has prescribed, and not by doing acts of bid'ah. The true awliya' or friends of Allaah are those whom our Lord has described in the hadeeth qudsi narrated by al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh (5/2384) from Abu Hurayrah, who said:

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Allaah said, 'Whoever shows enmity towards a friend (wali) of Mine, I declare war against him. My slave does not draw close to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties that I have enjoined on him, and My slave continues to draw close to Me with supererogatory (naafil) acts, so that I will love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it.'"

And Allaah is the Source of Strength and the Guide to the Straight Path.

Role of Darul Uloom, Deoband in India’s Freedom Struggle ( A must read article to know the history of Darul uloom Deoband)

When the English imprisoned Abu Zafar Sirajuddin Muhammad Bahadur Shah Zafar (1775-1862), the last Indian Moghul Emperor, in the Jail of Rangoon in 1857, instead of Indian Flag, Union Jack started hoisting at Dehli's Red Fort and Queen Victoria became the fulflash ruler of India, at that time, many country patriots came into field united to fight against the British rule. Maulana Muhammad Qasmi Nanautavi (1832-1879) was one of them too. In 1857, one Fatwa for Jihad against the English was issued. The Fatwa carried the signature of 34prominent Ulama. One among them was Maulana Nanautavi himself. As other elders had participated in the Jihad of Shamli in 1857, Maulana Nanautavi also had participated personally and had been wounded too. Breifly in the battle of Shamli, Nanautavi and his colleagues got defeated.

He was a far sighted scholar. He comprehended that the British has not only occupied India and would attack the Indian culture, but even the faith of Indians would be at risk. Therefore, while on the one hand, he started fighting against the English, he began debating with clergyman on the other. But to that time, the freedom wasn't for India, so he didn't succeed in the mission. In this situation, intending to free India from the British rule, in the company of some friends, Maulana Nanautavi adopted another policy to establish a Madrasa on 21st May, 1866 (a famous learning centre of Indian Subcontinent, Darul Uloom, Deoband) beneath a pomegranate tree in Chattah Masjid of Deoband. So that the trained products of the Madrasa would sacrifice themselves to preserve the country and Islam both in British India. Alhamdulillah, Nanautavi succeeded in his mission and a good number of Darul Uloom's product gave sacrifices for the sake of Indian freedom and Islam.

The noted Islamic scholar Maulana Manazir Ahsan Gilani (1892-19...) quoted in his book, "Ihaatae Darul Uloom Men Beete Huwe Din" (The Days Passedin the Campus of Darul Uloom) from his teacher and the first graduate of the seminary, Shaikhul Hind Mahmood Hasan Deobandi (1851-1920) saying:

"Did my teacher (Maulana Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi) establish this seminary only for the teaching and learning? The seminary was established before me, as far as my knowledge goes, my teacher established this one in 1866 to compensate the defeat of 1857 from the British. I have chosen the same mission for which it was established before me."

Very few people know the fact: "In the meeting of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind at Kolkata in 1926, the participants included graduates of Darul Uloom, Deoband and they supported the group which called for complete independence of India from the British rule. Indian National Congress was to declare complete independence as its goal three years later, in its session at Lahore." (Wikipedia, Darul Uloom Deoband)

The famous freedom fighter, Frontier Gandhi, Khan Abdu Ghaffar Khan (1890-1988), who visited Darul Uloom, during his visit to India in 1969, had said, "I have had relation with Darul Uloom since the time, Shaikhul Hind Maulana Mahmood Hasan, was alive. Sitting here, we used to make plans for the independence movement, as to how we might drive away the English from this country and how we could make India free the yoke of slavery of the British Raj. This institution has made great efforts for the freedom of this country." (Wikipedia, Darul Uloom Deoband)

Due to the great interest in India's freedom struggle, Shaikhul Hind became an icon of Indian independence movement. Though he was a teacher of Darul Uloom, but made much effort to start an armed revolution against British rule from the both inside and outside India. He started a programme to train volunteers and his students in the seminary from India and abroad for that goal. The most eminent among those who joined the movement were his students: Maulana Ubaidullah Sindhi (1872-1944), Maulana Husain Ahmad Madani (1879-1957), Maulana Muhammad Mian Mansoor Ansari etc.

Shaikhul Hind sent Maulana Sindhi to Kabul and Ansari to the North-West Frontier Province to mobilize the popular support and recruit volunteers. And he with Maulana Husain Ahmad Madani travelled to Hijaz (KSA) to secure Turkish support. Getting the Turkish governor, Ghalib Pasha's signature on a declaration of Jihad against the British, he planned to return to India via Baghdad and Bluchistan to start the rebellion.

When Shaikhul Hind planned to return, the Silken Kerchief Movement was captured by Punjab CID. Due to this movement, Shaikhul Hind was arrested in Hijaz. He was imprisoned in Malta, where he was tortured mercilessly, for more than three years.

Here it seems necessary to mention that what was the Silken Kerchief Movement. Shaikhul Hind wanted an armed revolution against the British rule, as I mentioned. So, he needed arms and ammunition. He and his colleagues, therefore, travelled to different countries to seek support from the anti-British countries; such as Afghanistan, Turkey and Russia. During the visiting different countries, letter exchanged between Shaikhul Hind and his colleagues, containing the outlines of the plan to recruit the volunteers for army and to establish a national government were written on silk piece of cloth. That is why the movement was known as the Silken Kerchief Movement/Tahreeke Reshmi Rumal (in Urdu)/Silk Letter Conspiracy (according to British government)

When he returned to India, after release, was conferred upon by the title of Shaikhul Hind, leading leader of India. Now he issued a Fatwa making it a duty of all Indian Muslims to support and participate with Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) and the Indian National Congress, who had prescribed a policy of non-cooperation and mass civil disobedience through non-violence. He died on November 30, 1920 wishing to get martyrdom for India's freedom.

Though Shaikhul Hind was no more, but he left a good number of students, who followed the footprint of their elders and worked tirelessly for the freedom of India. Maulana Ubaidullah Sindhi (1872-1944), a 1891's graduate of Darul Uloom, was also among them. He was the most active and prominent member of India's freedom movement. He was among those leaders of Darul Uloom who left India, following the commandment of Shaikhul Hind, during World War 1, to get support of the anti-British central powers for an armed revolution against British rule.

Maulana Sindhi reached Kabul to rally the Afghan Amir Habibullah Khan. After a period of time, he offered his support to Raja Mahendra Praratab's plans for revolution in India with German support. He joined the Provisional Government of India formed in Kabul on 1st December, 1915. In this government, he was nominated the Minister for India. It was declared a revolutionary government in exile, which was supposed to take the charge of independent India, if the British government has been overthrown according to the plan. But unfortunately, in 1919, the provisional government was dissolved under the diplomatic pressure to Afghanistan. He stayed in Afghanistan for 7-year nearly. Then visiting Soviet Russia,he reached Turkey, where he issued the charter for the independence of India from Istanbul. He left Turkey for Hijaz and remained there until 1929. He journeyed from a country to country for the sake of India's independence. He died on 22nd August, 1944, at Deenpur in Pakistan.

Shikhul Islam Maulana Husain Ahmad Madani (1879-1957) was also one of the Shaikhul-Hind's students and graduate and latter Professor of Hadith at Darul Uloom, Deoband. Though he had been not convicted, but he accompanied Shaikhul Hind to Malta voluntarily, to take care of him. He stayed in Malta three years upto the release of Shaikhul Hind. Returning to India, he actively became involved in the freedom struggle. He had been imprisoned several times by the British authority for his participation in the freedom movement. It was he who dared to issue a Fatwa in the meeting of Indian National Congress at Karachi that working as British army and police is Haraam. After this Fatwa, he was rewarded two years rigorous imprisonment. He never stepped down from the freedom struggle movement, until India got freedom.

At the time of independence, the Muslim League and the Indian National Congress were at logger heads on partition of united India. On that occasion, Madani opposed the partition thoroughly. He journeyed the different provinces of India along with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (1888-1958) and Mahatama Gandhi to assure the people safety and security and tried his level best to stop them to migrate from India to Pakistan. Many people targeted him, but he never conformed to the opinion of the partition. After the independence, he was served a ministry, but he refused and restricted himself under the four walls of Darul Uloom and Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind for teaching and social works. Like Madani and Sindhi, there were hundreds of Darul Uloom's graduates, who actively took part in the freedom struggle of India. To mention the works of those patriots, the volumes and volumes are required.

It's sorrowful matter that historians of modern India ignored completely the role played and efforts made by Darul Uloom for India's freedom struggle. Today, most of the people aren't aware of this historical institution. Some people know that Darul Uloom is a conservative seminary that produces merely Maulanas or a factory that only issues Fatwaas. And some say that Darul Uloom is "a Station of Terrorism" and "it produces terrorists". This one is a famous opinion among Hindu fundamentalists, while the fact is otherwise as I stated in the essay. It's a bird's eye view of the role of Darul Uloom, Deoband in India's freedom struggle. One who is interested on the topic, should go through the book, "Taarikhe Darul Uloom" (History of Darul Uloom). May Allah accept the works of the seminary!

Additionally, there are several different types of acne.
There are whiteheads and blackheads as well as red bumps.

Blackheads and whiteheads are commonly found around the whole body especially the chest,

and their effect on the oil glands in the skin. More specifically acne is caused by
a disorder in the pilosebaceous units. The pilosebaceous units are found all over
your entire body with the exception of the feet, lips and hands.

The majority of the pilosebaceous units are found on the chest, neck and face.

is to keep the dead skin cells sloughed off the blackheads and whiteheads.

2. Acne is for everyone; not just teenagers. Since acne is caused by hormones
and their effect on oil glands in the skin it can affect adults as well as teenagers
 because adults have hormones too.

3. Treat the whole face not just the spot where the acne is.
The acne that is showing is just a symptom of the underlying problem
which is within the skin and the oil glands.
 4. French fries, chocolate and other certain foods do not cause acne.
Acne is caused by hormones; mainly androgen and their effect on the
oil glands in the skin therefore food could not have anything to do with
causing acne or acne breakouts.

5. Make-up is not the cause of acne; however avoid heavy make-up
when sweating or working out. While make-up does not directly cause
acne it is a very good idea to avoid heavy make-up period when you are
sweating or working out.

6. Tanning and sun exposure does not cure your acne.
The myth that oily skin causes acne therefore drying out your skin
will make the acne go away is not accurate.
Tanning oftentimes does make people feel better about themselves
and their skin that may be one of the reasons people feel acne is treated
through tanning and sun exposure.

7. Scrubbing and exfoliating your skin will not make the acne go away.
Acne is not caused by dirt; therefore scrubbing your face raw to get rid of dirt
will only irritate your already sensitive skin.

8. One of the acne myths is that stress can cause acne in a roundabout way.

9. While acne is not curable it is treatable.

10. There is no proof that toothpaste applied to acne will treat the acne and make it go away.
