••• Wonderful Touching Story •••

  • A woman baked bread for members of her family and an extra one for a hungry passerby. She kept the extra Bread on the window sill, for whosoever would take it away.

Every day, a hunchback came and took away the Bread.

Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following words as he went his way:
" The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!"

This went on, day after day. Every day, the hunchback came, picked up the bread and uttered the words:
"The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, com es back to you!"

The woman felt irritated. "Not a word of gratitude," she said to herself...
" Everyday this hunchback utters this jingle! What does he mean?"

One day, exasperated, she decided to do away with him. "I shall get rid of this hunchback," she said. And what did she do? She added poison to the bread she prepared for him!

As she was about to keep it on the window sill, her hands trembled.
"What is this I am doing?" she said.

Immediately, she threw the Bread into the fire, prepared another one and kept it on the window sill.

As usual, the hunchback came, picked up the Bread and muttered the words:
" The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!"

The hunchback proceeded on his way, blissfully unaware of the war raging in the mind of the woman.

Every day, as the woman placed the Bread on the window sill, she offered a prayer for her son who had gone to a distant place to seek his fortune. For many months, she had no news of him.. She prayed for his safe return.

That evening, there was a knock on the door. As she opened it, she was surprised to find her son standing in the doorway.

He had grown thin and lean. His garments were tattered and torn. He was hungry, starved and weak.

As he saw his mother, he said,"Mom, it's a miracle I'm here.

While I was but a mile away, I was so famished that I collapsed.

I would have died, but just then an old hunchback passed by.I begged of him for a morsel of food, and he was kind enough to give me a whole Bread.

As he gave it to me, he said,"This is what I eat everyday: today, I shall give it to you, for your need is greater than mine!"

As the mother heard those words, her face turned pale.
She leaned against the door for support. She remembered the poisoned bread that she had made that morning.

Had she not burnt it in the fire, it would have been eaten by her own son, and he would have lost his life! It was then that she realized the significance of the words:
"The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!"

Moral : Do good and Don't ever stop doing good, even if it is not appreciated at that time.

Must read for husbands….What Women do all day ….????

A man came home from work and found his 5 children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn around garden, The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and no sign of the dog, walking in the door, he found ...an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, the throw rug was against one wall, In the front room the TV was on loudly with the cartoon channel, the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door. He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls. As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel... She looked up at him, smiled and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?' She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world do I do all day?...
''Yes," was his incredulous reply..

She answered, 'Well, today I didn't do it.'

"I am because we are"

An anthropologist proposed a game to the kids in an African tribe. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told the kids that who ever got there first won the sweet fruits. When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said: ''UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?''

'UBUNTU' in the Xhosa culture means: "I am because we are"

For the married girls

I look around and wonder why do people look at a married woman differently? She might look better dressed, maybe wearing an ornament or two, that mark her married. But she's still a girl at heart, sindoor and bindi don't make her a woman. She may be still learning how to run a home, she still might be struggling taking care of not just herself but two and more people, she might not always like to hear 'what does your husband do'... Marriage doesn't suddenly turn a girl into a woman. For that matter having kids doesn't necessarily do the same either. Celebrate who she really is, celebrate the child in her, she may be anyone around you, ur friend, ur sister, ur mother, a total stranger. She's not supposed to be responsible for innumerous things, countless chores, it's just her desire for perfection that she does what she does. This is for every wonderful woman I know. Grow up... but take your own sweet time & let the li'l girl in you live forever. And for all my male friends... cherish her, spoil her and most importantly let her be... She wasn't born to take care of you, it's her heart that makes her do so

Earth have enough for our need, but not for our greed.

We all want to help one
another, Human beings are
like that. The way of life can
be free and beautiful, but we
have lost the way.

Greed has poisoned men's
souls; has barricaded the
world with hate; has goose-
stepped us into misery and
bloodshed.

Earth have enough for our
need, but not for our
greed.

Old Delhi : Food Capital of India

Best kebabs: Ustad Moinuddin

For just a few rupees you can eat some of the finest kebabs in Delhi.
On Lal Kuan close to where the great Urdu poet Ghalib once lived, you'll find the beef kebab maker Ustad Moinuddin. As you wait your turn, you'll have time to watch the master at work, packing soft meat on to skewers, judging the exact cooking time for optimum succulence before tipping them quickly on to plates and into waiting hands. Forget Bukhara; this is the real deal.

Lal Kuan, at the corner with Gali Qasimjan, near Chawri Bazaar metro, Old Delhi

Best kulfi: Kuremal Kulfi

The Kuremal family have been making kulfi (ice-cream) in the old city since 1908. They turn out over 50 varieties, including pomegranate, tamarind, rose and custard apple, and also make a wonderful stuffed kulfi: mango or orange flavours stuffed into fruit skins.

Kucha Pati Ram, off Sitaram Bazaar, near Chawri Bazaar metro, Old Delhi

Best kheer: Bade Mian

Bade Mian's kheer shop (oppposite Badal Beg mosque in Lal Kuan) quite simply  sells the finest kheer (cardamom-laced rice pudding) you're ever likely to taste.  I never come home with less than a kilo!

Lal Kuan, near Chawri Bazaar metro, Old Delhi

Best sweets: Chaina Ram

Regularly voted the best sweet shop in Delhi. Try the Karachi halwa, laddoos and other treats cooked in ghee at this Sindhi shop on Chandni Chowk.

Best snacks

Around the Jama Masjid area, stroll along Matia Mahal (also the home of the famous Karim's and Al-Jawahar restaurants) and stop at any of the little stalls – it's almost impossible to eat badly here. One highlight is shahi tukda, labelled by one enthusiast as "bread pudding on steroids".  The kebabs and biryanis in this area are also pretty special.

Ashok Chat Corner in Old Delhi

a modern metro entrance pushes out of the ground into the chaos above, and you are immediately there to Ashok Chat Corner (3488, Hauz Qazi Chowk) 10 steps away.

"All you have to do is stagger out of the metro and you're here," ordering papri chaat, a tiny bowl with crisp pastry discs (the papri), potato and fried chickpeas under a mix of sauces that include a yogurt-y curd, tamarind and spicy coriander. It's soothing and calm.

Jain Coffee House

a spot on a square with an alley-like entrance that's so easy to walk past that we do two U-turns on Chawri Bazaar before we find it. (From Chawri Bazaar metro walk along Chawri Bazaar until almost at the left turn into Nai Sarak. On your left is a small gully, Raghu Ganj: walk in and turn left.

Old Famous Jalebi

Thick and juicy, it is food porn at its best. Jalebis, the golden-coloured rings of deep-fried maida batter, soaked in sugar syrup, fill the mouth with a warm liquid of such excessive sweetness that modesty blushes in shame. The diabetic may find joy in just looking at its preparation.

Where Dariba Kalan Rd, Chandni Chowk Time 8.30 am to 10 pm Nearest Metro Station Chandni Chowk

Gali Paranthe Waali

It became a famous gourmet locality when the parantha shops moved here in the 1870s. This lane has been the haunt of many celebrities of India. In the years after Independence, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and his family members - Indira Gandhi and Vijaylaxmi Pandit - came here to take their parantha meals. Jayaprakash Narayan and Atal Behari Vajpayee were also among the regular visitors.

Kanhaiya Lal Durga Prasad's Parantha Shop (1875)

The paranthas are fried in pure ghee in cast-iron pans. They are served with Mint Chutney, Banana - Tamarind Chutney, vegetable pickle and Aloo Subzi.

Shree Balaji Chaat Bhandar (1462, Chandni Chowk; Noon to 10pm)

It is perhaps the best and most popular chaatwallah in Chandni Chowk. We particularly recommend the Papdi Chaat with its liberal inclusion of Kachaalu Chutney, Khasta Papdis and saunth. Bishan Swaroop (1421, Chandni Chowk; 10am to 10pm) is one of those gems tucked away in the chaotic by-lanes of Chandni Chowk which keep alive the magic of another time, another taste.

Lala Babu Chaat Bhandar (77, Chandni Chowk, Near McDonald's; 11am to 10pm)

Glorious Gol Gappe served with a type of Jal Jeera that's packed with harad (a digestive), kachoris stuffed with potato and peas, Gobhi-Matar Samosas, Dahi Bhalla and Matar Paneer Tikki are the fastest-selling items here.

Jugal Kishore Ramji Lal

13, Dujana House, Chawri Bazaar, Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi.

Best known for its fruit chaats.

Why is Rape so Rampant?

A Social Message
Did you tell your daughter to be careful with the way
she acts and the way she dresses ? Or something
like "You need to be safe! When you dress that way,...
some people read it as an invitation"?
Probably yes.
But did you tell your SON, "I need you to know that
no matter how a woman dresses or acts, it is not an
invitation to cat call, taunt, harass or assault her"?
Probably NO.
Instead of teaching your daughter not to get raped,
teach your SON not to rape

Children are deprived of Games

Children are deprived of Games.
Replaced by screen time (either television, mobile, or computers)

The lack of play is causing physical, intellectual, social, and emotional harm to our children.

Physical - Obesity & Unhealthy Physic... lack of motor coordination.. piled up stress
Intellectual - Decrease in creativity, imagination, curiosity, social skills, resiliency, and the ability to assess risk etc.,
Social - Dont know how to work in groups, share, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and being advocate for themselves..lack of nonverbal skills
Emotional - Being a loner, lack of relationship skills, inappropriate expression of feelings...lack of self esteem

In play we can imagine situations never encountered before and learn from them. Toy aeroplanes preceded real ones.

Forget about all this... if your child is not introduced to play and sticking to game rules, How you can make the child understand about self discipline without any external control??????????

Is it by paying a teacher for threatening a child to sit in his/her chair for six hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think ...
Dedicate after school hours of your child just for play and dont allow your child to touch school books at that time.. its difficult but much needed....
